Gamakatsu rods

It’s long been known that Gamakatsu is the worlds leading manufacturer of high quality hooks and that Gamakatsu produces first class monofilament line. Last year, Gamakatsu introduced a wide range of high quality accessories and in the 2005 season. Gamakatsu will introduce its line of premium rods to the European market. In addition to its state of the art hook factory, Gamakatsu also has a production facility which produces the highest quality rods available!

Only the best Japanese components such as guides and reel seats (both from Fuji™) and top grade carbon are used to produce this line of high quality rods that outperform everything else being offered to anglers today.

LUXXE Norm

Within the LUXXE series, this series is the absolute pinnacle with regards to quality. The Norm rods are designed by the best Japanese rod building engineers. This results are blanks that outperform all other top class rods. The special and exclusive shape of the reel seat ensures that the reel remains firm in position and provides perfect balance.

The 3A-grade cork material is of the highest quality and provides more comfort and an excellent grip, even in wet conditions. The rods also have a shock proof cone for additional protection. Compared to other rods, the guides of the Norm rods have 40% less weight, making these rods even lighter and more sensitive.

24124 6.60 - Gamakatsu NORM 666
Developed for fishing with lures and spinner baits, but also excellent for use with surface baits. This light and sensitive rod has perfect balance.

24125 6.60 - Gamakatsu NORM 676
Similar to the Norm 666, but a slightly harder and faster action for quick hook sets.

24129 6.00 - Gamakatsu NORM 454S
This rod has a lighter action tip for fishing with smaller and lighter lures.

24130 6.60 - Gamakatsu NORM 756S
This rod has a slightly softer tip section but has the capability of quickly setting the hook when a hard strike occurs.

Luxxe Surmis

This is an ultra-light and extremely sensitive series. Surmis rods are also referred to as finger extensions. This is because if the angler puts his finger on the blank, he can accurately feel everything that is happening under water with the lure. These rods are indeed that sensative. Surmis blanks are feather light and have a very strong backbone making quick strikes and heavy fights no problem at all. The handle is made of the best quality natural cork and the exclusive reel seat keeps the reel foot firmly in place. The rubber cone is shock resistant providing additional security against damage. The guides are small in order for the line to stretch and enable precise casting. To save on excess weight all the guides are wrapped with extremely thin thread and lacquered with a minimal but very durable varnish. The power and performance of the blank is maximized in every way possible.

This rod has a very sensitive tip action that shows even the smallest bites and ensures a perfect hook set under all conditions.

This heavy version makes extreme distance casting of heavy lures and shads seem effortless. The action of this rod is almost equal to the 666H

24221 6.60 Gamakatsu Surmis 666-R
This rod was developed for spinnerbaits and lures that continuously need to be retrieved at high speeds. It has an all-round action and very good casting abilities. The blank has more than enough power to fight large fish.

Luxxe Kamah

The Luxxe Kamah rods are highly sought after by predator specialists. The design of these artificial bait rods and the technology incorporated into them make them one of the best within the Gamakatsu Luxxe series. Input from Gamakatsu’s world wide Pro-staff was instrumental in the development of these rods and it shows. These rods are fitted with a Fuji ® reel seat and Fuji ® SIC Titan guides and a high grade natural cork handle.

24061 7.00 Gamakatsu Kamah 757S
This is an all-round rod with a relatively soft action while still providing perfect hook setting ability. This series was developed for angling in medium deep and deep water.

24063 6.60 Gamakatsu Kamah 376
This rod has a tip action designed to give perfect control of most lures. Even the slightest strike is registered. The rod has a tough body in the middle of the blank for solid hook setting and provides the muscle needed for fighting larger fish.

24069 6.60 Gamakatsu Kamah 666
This is an all-round artificial bait rod with a relatively soft action from the middle part up to the tip of the rod. The major advantage of this rod is that it allows for easy angling with twisters, spinnerbaits and lures. This is indeed a true all around fishing rod with excellent casting abilities.

LUXXE Ocean JIG-ONE

These rods have been especially designed for fishing out in the open ocean. The action and strength are truly amazing for rods as light as the Jig One rods. These saltwater rods are made from high quality extremely light carbon material. This light material enables anglers to fish for long periods of time without their arms getting tired. Furthermore, all Jig-One rods are finished with IP coated Fuji ™ Super Ocean Guides with stainless steel frames and original Fuji™ reel seats for all types of reels.

Short and powerful, that is the Jig-One 891! It combines an aggressive look with strong characteristics. This rod is ideal to fish for 20lbs+ salwater
fish in depths of 150mtr+!

24105 5.70 - Gamakatsu JIG-ONE 673S
This is a light pilk rod for weights up to 120 grams for fishes from 2 to 5KG.

24106 5.70 - Gamakatsu JIG-ONE 683S
This is a great pilk rod with a casting weight up to 150 grams and for fish up to 10KG.

24108 5.70 - Gamakatsu JIG-ONE 5103S
This is one of the strongest models in the Jig-One series. With a casting weight of 300 grams, this rod is suitable for depths up to 200m. The aluminum gimbal makes this rod very well suited for fighting the biggest fish.

24165 6.60 - Gamakatsu JI G-ONE 4106S
With the same features as the 5103S, this rod is designed for fighting big fish. With its great action, pilkers and heavy jigheads can be fished on the bottom while still detecting the softest bite.

24163 6.60 - Gamakatsu JIG-ONE 676S
This is the longer version of the Jig-One 673S. This is a light pilk rod that can also be used as a sea-spin and jerkbait rod.

24164 6.60 - Gamakatsu JIG-ONE 686S
This rod is the longer version of the 683S with the same characteristics that can also be used as a sea spinning rod.

24161 6.60 - Gamakatsu Jig-One 576
This medium heavy fast taper rod is up for the job! The Jig-One 576 is an excellent rod for pilk fishing, the tip-action combined with a stiff body
guarantee an optimized feeling.

24162 6.60 - Gamakatsu Jig-One 586
The heavier version of the Jig-One 576, is this 586. It has been produced with a slightly tougher body, but it maintained its phenomenal tip-action.
An absolute “must-have” for heavy conditions and when the fishing depths require weights of 80-150gr.

LUXXE Saltage Cheetah

These rods where created for aggressive fishing. They are extremely lightweight and easy to use. All rods have a progressive action for perfectly accurate casting. The reel seat and handle have an ecliptic shape for perfect handling. The tip is made of full carbon. The guides are original Fuji™ Titan. The spigot ferrules fit so perfectly that it feels like a one piece rod.

24250 9.60 - Gamakatsu Cheetah 96XH
As the XH (Extra Heavy) label says, this is a powerful rod. Recommended casting weight is between 12-80gr; heavy lure casting is no problem!

LUXXE Covershot

The new Luxxe CoverShot series offers only 2 rods. This says a lot about the incredible versatility these rods have to offer. Exclusivity, durability and style were some of the “key-words” we have used during the design and production of this series. CoverShot rods are manufactured with Fuji® double-legged guides, a Fuji® reel seat with “trigger”, a high quality cork handle and a protection cone. The carbon materials are of highest quality available, a rod without concessions! CoverShot rods are actually 2-pc rods with a 1-pc rod action; the joint is just above the cork grip. This is not only a “state of the art” design, it also improves the action of the rod.
